brooklynboy One of the best bands to spring out of NYC no wave, Bush Tetras had it all (still do), songs, groove, a guitar assault courtesy Pat Place that would sneak up on you when you weren't listening too hard, and Cynthia Sley who could talk/sing the phone book as far I'm concerned, she nailed every dark side street she sang about. Kick ass rhythm section to boot. A must own, just to see where this kind of noise came from. And because it's fantastic, of course.

New York City legends the Bush Tetras have been making paranoid, groove-centered post-punk since 1979, when Pat Place left James Chance and The Contortions to found the group with singer Cynthia Sley, bassist Laura Kennedy and drummer Dee Pop.
